Pastor Chris Faylor came to Big Spring Heights in Newville in October of 2014. Prior to that, Pastor Chris served and ministered in Manns Choice PA, Pittsburgh PA, Claysburg PA, Arcadia FL, Northwood OH, Gassaway WV and Rossville GA. Pastor Chris graduated from Lee University in Cleveland, TN in December of 2000, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Pastoral Ministry. Much of his ministry has been focused and dedicated to youth and children’s ministry prior to becoming a Lead Pastor. Pastor Chris is serving on the Youth and Discipleship Board for the Pennsylvania Church of God and is actively involved in the Newville community, serving as Vice President of the Big Spring Inter-Church Council.
Chris married Sarah November 4, 2017. Sarah has a Master’s Degree in Social Work and works as a Hospice Social Worker. She is a kind listener who offers support, love and encouragement to the church and most importantly to her family.
No one is immune to the challenges of this life but the Faylors choose to live by Romans 8:28-“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” NKJV.
Although Pastor Chris loves to teach, preach and sing, he truly enjoys being with people! God has given him a simple cause: that he and the church are #ForNewville. For spiritual health and growth. For family strength and support. For community care and service!
Pastor Chris has 3 wonderful children who are involved in various ways in the church and ministry, Caleb, Hannah and Evan. They are the joys of his heart.
The Faylor’s also have three fur family members, Dash, Willow and Samson.
Chris is a BIG Michigan Wolverines football fan, enjoys playing fantasy football with friends and loves working in the yard and garden.
